Pass, Sr., 70, of Many, died on January 27, 1986, at 9 p.m., at the Willis Knighton Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 23, 1915, in Goss, Louisiana. His parents were the late Willie (Cassel), and John Shermate Pass. Mr. Pass was a retired oil field and water well worker. He was a member of the Noble Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mattie Lee Patrick Pass; three sons, Ray Pass Jr. of Many, Jerry Lee Pass of Cecilia, and Ronald Earl Pass of Natchitoches; two sisters, Katherine Edwards of Keithville, and Annie Laura Hough of Natchitoches; five granddaughters; and two grandsons. Services were held Wednesday, January 29, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Warren Meadows Funeral Home, with Rev. Ray Dyess officiating. Burial was at Many Cemetery. Pallbearers included Bob Miller, Jasper Tyler, David Ray Pass, Grady Cotton, Michael Patrick, and C. G. Alford. Honorary pallbearers included Ralph Wright, Osborn Miller, Curtis Manasco, and Max Westbrook.
