Pugh, 82, of Converse, passed away, Feb. 21, at his residence. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 24, 1989, at 10:30 a.m., at the Converse First Baptist Church, with Rev. Doug Mitchell, and Rev. James Beck officiating. Interment followed in the Cassel Cemetery. Survivors include his loving wife Sara Blackwell Pugh of Converse; one son, Orville A. Pugh of Santa Fe, Tex.; two daughters, Marcie Beck of El Paso, Tex., Mary Pugh of Converse; one brother, J. B. Pugh of Many; two sisters, Jesse Hanley of Many, and Jennie Lankford of Ft. Pane, Ala.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Granville Pugh. Mr. Pugh was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Noble #320, Caddo Lodge #179, Past Master of the Triumph Lodge, and Past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Triumph Chapter; and a deacon of the Converse First Baptist Church. Funeral services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many.
