C., on Saturday, Jan. 4, after a long illness. Mr. Peace was a retired Master Sgt. Of the U. S. Army, was a veteran of World War II, and prisoner of war in Germany for 15 months. He had spent most of his retirement in hospitals. He was born and reared at Negreet, La., and was the son of Mrs. W. E. Peace, and the late Mr. Peace, and made his home in Sabine Parish, until he enlisted in the army, when quite young. Mr. Peace and his wife and two children lived in Alexandria, Va. He was a member of the Baptist Church, and a teacher of the adult men's Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Alexandria, Va., at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8. He will be buried in Arlington Cemetery, Washington, D. C., with military rites. He is survived by his wife; one son, Wayne Peace; and daughter, Patti Peace of Alexandria, Va.; his mother, Mrs. Pearl Peace of Negreet; five sisters, Mrs. Loza Cook of Florien, Mrs. Lovie Woodel, and Miss Milbra Peace of Negreet, Mrs. Lona Williams of Beaumont, Texas, and Loree Kennedy of Shreveport.
