H. L. Peacock Sr.

  Funeral services for Herschel Luin Peacock Sr., 83, were held in
the Spring Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. C. Salley
officiating.

  Mr. Peacock passed away at his home near Pleasant Hill Thursday,
Nov. 7.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leona G. Peacock; four sons,
Chester, and Henry Peacock of Zwolle, the Rev. H. L. Peacock Jr.
of Mansfield, and T/Sgt. James E. Peacock of Bergstrom AFB,
Austin, Tex.; five daughters, Mrs. Arthur Rivers of Pleasant
Hill, Mrs. Thomas Dans of Houston, Mrs. Jackie Read of Lake
Charles, Mrs. Delaney Gunter of Monroe, and Mrs. Roy Richard of
Raceland; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two
great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Otha Woods, Gene Craig, Curtis Rains, Glynn
Johnson, Sebren Roach, and Bob Lucius.

  Interment was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery.
