Funeral services were held at four p.m., Sunday, July 6, at Converse Baptist Church, by the pastor, Rev. Frank Walker, and Rev. Jerry Schmucker of Shreveport. Burial followed in Spring Ridge Cemetery. She is survived by the following children. Mrs. Albert Ott, Converse, Mrs. Roy Ott, Converse, A. G. Peacock, Mansfield, R. C. Peacock, Mansfield, R. W. Peacock, Channelview, Tex.; three stepchildren, Mrs. Lillie Woods, Pleasant Hill, H. L. Peacock, Pleasant Hill, and W. T. Peacock, Plain Dealing; twelve grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends. Mrs. Peacock was a faithful member of Converse Baptist Church, and her good Christian life has been an inspiration to all those who knew her, for to know her was to love her. Mother has gone on to Heaven, Where there's no sorrow or care, Surely she knows that we miss her, Some day we'll meet her up there. So to all the relatives I say, Weep not, for we know that our loss, Is Heaven's gain. When the gloom of night surrounds you, Wait with patience for the dawn. If you walk the Christian pathway, Joy awaits you further on, Further on, further on. Joy is coming further on. Written by a friend, Opal Rike.
