The funeral was Tuesday, March 11, at 2 p.m., in First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill, with the Rev. Adrian Pater, and Rev. Cecil Salley officiating. Burial was in Springridge Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Henry Peacock of Zwolle, and James Peacock of Austin, Texas; five daughters, Everlee Rivers, Jackie Reed, and Ola Gunter, all of Pleasant Hill, Mattie Dans of Shreveport, and Betty Richard of Baton Rouge; one brother, Clifton Golden of Houston; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Peacock, who had an array of hats, was known as "The Hat Lady" around Pleasant Hill.
