Pickett, 67, died suddenly, Friday, June 6, at his home in Frierson. Services were at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel, Shreveport, at 10 a.m., Monday, June 9, with Rev. A. B. "Bo" Henderson, pastor of Summer Grove Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport. Mr. Pickett was a native of Bivins, Texas, and had resided in Frierson for one year, and previously in Shreveport for five years. He was a retired civil service employee. He is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Milligan, Shreveport, and Mary Dennis, High Ridge, Mo., two sisters, Lillie Bell Carney, Houston, Tex., and Irene Allison, Corpus Christi, Tex.; two brothers, Judge John S. Pickett, and Marshall Pickett, Many; and 4 grandchildren.
