Poston, Sr. Funeral services for former State Sen. C. M. Poston Sr., 70, of Hornbeck, who died Wednesday, Nov. 27, in a Many hospital, following an extended illness, were held Saturday, with the Rev. T. J. Crosby officiating. Mr. Poston was a member of the Hornbeck First Baptist Church. He served as State Senator from 1960 to 1964, and was a member of the Toro Lodge No. 253, in Hornbeck. He was elected three times as mayor of Hornbeck, and retired after 30 years as agent with the Kansas City Southern Railroad. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Marjorie Poston of Hornbeck; three sons, Charles M. Poston Jr. of Tipp City, Ohio, and Bryan A., and Morris O. Poston, both of Hornbeck; a brother, John Poston of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Effie Sadler of Stuggart, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Interment was in the Florien Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
