Rev. Royal Dodson officiated, assisted by Rev. Vernon Lee. Burial was in Harmony Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill. She died Sunday morning, May 2, at Fraser North Hospital in Many, following a short illness. Mrs. Pickler, a native and life time resident of the Taylor area, was a retired homemaker, merchant, and farmer. She was a member of the Taylor United Methodist Church, and active in the Women Methodist Organization. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Delta Chapter No. 59 OES, Ferriday, La. Mrs. Pickler is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Elsie Rae and Hoyt Maxey of Zwolle, La., Mary Elizabeth and Col. James William Barnett of Winchester, Va.; one sister, Jessie Dean Schlink of Zwolle, La.; one brother, Orian J. Johnson of Fort Worth, Tex.; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
