Mr. John Picard, Jr.

  Funeral services for Mr. John Picard, Jr., 54, of Converse, were
held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 25, at St. Catherine's Catholic
Church in Noble. Father Boyer officiated. Burial was in St.
Catherine's Cemetery.

  Mr. Picard died Wednesday, Nov. 23, in Shreveport, following a
lengthy illness.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Picard of Converse; two
sons, John R. Picard of Mansfield, and Kim Roland Picard of
Converse; four daughters, Myrtle Marie Picard of Opelousas, Maren
Picard of Hammond, Karen Cooper of Baton Rouge, and Vickie Groce
of Converse; one brother, Gerald Picard of Denham Springs; two
sisters, Elsie DeLoche of Baton Rouge, and Margie Johnson of
Irvinville, La.; and nine grandchildren.
