He was a logger. Funeral services were held in the Converse Catholic Church, at 9 a.m., Saturday, with the Rev. William J. Pearce officiating. Burial was in St. Catherine's Cemetery at Noble, under the direction of First National Funeral Home of Natchitoches. He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Eva Blankenship of Converse, Mrs. Garcie Ebarb of Las Vegas, Nev., and Miss Josie Paddie of Shreveport; four sons, Johnny R. Paddie of Zwolle, Tommy M. Paddie, and John H. Paddie, both of Converse, Cpl. Joseph H. Paddie of Albany, Ga.; one brother, John S. Paddie of Converse; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Meshell of Mansfield; and 15 grandchildren. Pallbearers were George C. Paddie, Monroe J. Paddie, J. C. Remedies, James Meshell, Leonard Meshell, and M. J. Manshack.
