Padgett Sr. (Photo) Mr. Allen Padgett Sr. passed away Dec. 11, 1991. His funeral services were held at the Zwolle Pentecostal Church, Dec. 14. Officiating was the Rev. Roland George, and Rev. Lamar Joy. Mr. Padgett was born in Century, Fla. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church at Lewis Chapel. Mr. Padgett was a retired Master Sergeant from the Air Force. He served as Crew Chief. He served stateside and overseas for over twenty years. He was also retired from Goull Battery in Shreveport. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Doris Meshell Padgett. Feb. 19th would have been his 55th wedding anniversary. He is survived by two sons, Allen J. Padgett Jr. of North Highland, Calif., Robert (Bobby) Padgett of Shreveport; special grandson, David Padgett of Killeen, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Arcell P. Hippler of Zwolle, Mrs. Aline P. Cury of Dumwoody Ga., Mrs. Helen P. Hutchinson of Shreveport; eighteen grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; one brother, Byer Padgett of Virginia Beach, Va.; and one sister, Carolyn of St. Petersburg, Fla. Pallbearers were Carl (Bubba) Meshell, Ted Bruster, Cliff Sepulvado, Paul Luman, Don Pruett, Thomas (Bing) Gatti. Honorary pallbearers were Marion Jackso, and Joey Lavarence.
