Robert Wayne Poteet

  Robert Wayne Poteet, born May 29, 1932, to Silas Nimrod and
Effie Poteet, passed away Dec. 4, following a difficult battle
with a brain tumor.

  Wayne was proud to have worked in the Texas and Louisiana Oil
Fields, and as general manager for Crescent Well Service of New
Orleans, until a disabling accident in 1974.

  Survivors are his wife, Joy Poteet of Florien; his son, Robert
Lee Poteet, also of Florien; his daughter, Renee' Bumpus of
Nacogdoches, Tex., and his granddaughter, Symone Poteet of Nine
Miles Point, La.; three sisters, Betty Miller, Barbara Guillory,
and Anne Poteet; brothers, Marvin Nimrod Jr., and Johnny Poteet.

  Wayne's wake was held in his home on Pirate's Cove, out of
Florien, Dec. 4, until time of graveside services at Pisgah
Church Cemetery.

  Wayne asked out of his love for children, that in lieu of
flowers, you please send donations to a charity benefiting
children.
