Dr. W. D. "Step" Martin, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Mrs. Putnam died Sunday, Oct. 29, at LSU Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Texas, and had been a Shreveport resident for 45 years. Mrs. Putnam was a housewife, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Gordon E. Putnam of Shreveport; one son, Harvey Weldon of Shreveport; four daughters, Lois Fletcher, Myrtis Johnson, and Clemon Lee, all of Shreveport, and Doris Bolton of Wisner, La.; four sisters, Annie Mae Woods, Marie George, and Aufrey Teggue, all of Shreveport, and Tulsa Ott of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, Robert Miller of Shreveport, and Jessie Miller of Houston, Tex.; one stepson Floyd Weldon of Redwood city, Calif.; one step daughter, Ruby Linder of Belmont; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a number of other relatives. Pallbearers will be deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
