All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. Wallace Elmer Potter Mr. Wallace Elmer Potter, 77, of Many, died March 29, 2002, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Mr. Potter served in WWII in the Pacific, New Guinea, Philippines, and Japan, from 1943-1946. He received three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Ribbon. He retired from Federal Civil Service, and owned and operated Wallace Potter Electric Shop. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, as a High Priest. He served two state missions; one in Dallas Texas Temple Mission, and had just returned from serving a Family History Mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 1, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with interment following at Prospect Cemetery. Bishop Robert Ault, and President J. Michael Slay officiated. Survivors include his widow, Elouise Potter; son, Jeffery Potter of Colfax; five daughters, Fern Potter, and Jennie Potter, both of Many, Jan Coburn of Florien, Jerrie Foreman of Olathe, Kan., and Joy Vallery of Fisher; special daughter, Joan Daniels of Robeline; three sisters, Agnes DeKeyzer of Many, Mary Reardon of Berlin, N. H., and Nellie Garrison of Shreveport; brother, Jerry Potter of Baltimore, Md.; special aunt, Myrtis Mooney of DeRidder; 19 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Potter, parents, William and Mentie Potter; and one sister, Dorothy Franklin. Warren Meadows, Many, La.
