He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Peters, member of a large family, who soon after his birth moved to Ft. Jesup, where he lived until quite a young man. He then went to Bandara, Texas, where he married Miss Leah Langford of that place. From there he moved to San Antonio, Texas, and resided there continually until his death. He was a consecrated Christian and devoted his life to his wife and four daughters and two sons and his church, leaving them a heritage rich in character and example. He died from heart attack while at his work. His body was carried to Bandera, where funeral services were held in the Methodist church and interment in the cemetery there. Immediate relatives surviving his are his wife; daughters, Elizabeth, Doris, Etoil, Annie Lou, and sons, E. T. Jr., Paul; his sisters, Mrs. L. L. Latham of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. R. A. Fraser of Many, and two brothers S. P. Peters of Shreveport and Tal Peters of Del Rio, Texas.
