The Sabine Index - Betty Peterson 
  
  14 Aug 1959 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Betty Peterson, age 78 
years, were held Thursday at 10 o'clock at the First Methodist 
church with Rev. J. W. Mathews, Jr., pastor officiating. 
Interment was in the Many cemetery under the direction of the 
Warren Funeral home. 
  
  Pallbearers were Joe Smith, J. E. Carmichael, J. M. Jordan, Joe 
McNeely, Judge Edwin M. Fraser and Sheriff T. M. Phillips. 
  
  Survivors include one son, Tom Peterson, Pineville; one 
granddaughter, Patsy Peterson, Many; sisters, Mrs. Lattie 
Mitchell, Zwolle and Mrs. Wilson Leach, Shreveport. 
  
  Mrs. Peterson passed away Wednesday after a short illness. She 
was the widow of the late A. R. Peterson and the daughter of the 
late Mr. and Mrs. E. C. (Ned) Dillon, pioneer citizen of Many, 
having spend her entire life in Many.
