Dave Peterson

  Dave Peterson, 91, of Many, died on Friday, Sept. 19, at 6:30
p.m., following an extended illness.

  Peterson is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alma Peterson of Many;
six daughters, Mrs. Lena Alford of Many, Mrs. Arlene Rountree of
Shreveport, Mrs. Ethel Walters of Coushatta, Mrs. Pat Jackson,
and Mrs. Elizabeth Bowies, both of Dallas, and Mrs. Winnie Sliman
of Natchitoches; three sons, S. D. Peterson of Florien, Floyd
Peterson, and Garland Peterson, both of Many; 18 grandchildren;
and 21 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Oak Hill Baptist Church on
Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Tom McDaniels, and the Rev.
Hoy Leach officiated.

  Pallbearers were Roy Jackson II, Ben D. Peterson, Billy Jo
Peterson, Douglas Rountree, John Sandel, Ronnie L. Walters, Dean
Walters, and Tyron McNeely.

  Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, under the direction of the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
