The Sabine Index - Mrs. Leona Peters

  15 Feb 1952 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Leona Peters, 75, who
passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dewey Stoker of
Fort Jesup after a long illness Sunday, were conducted at Fort
Jesup Baptist church Monday by Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, assisted by
Rev. Earl Myers. Interment was under direction Warren funeral
home.

  Pallbearers were C. V. Jackson, Joe Smith, Ray Alford, Florien
Arthur, T. J. Bush and Earl Marr.

  Surviving relatives include: daughters, Mrs. Dewey
Stoker, Fort Jesup, Mrs. Mary Jane McMahon, Houston, Texas; son,
R. J. Peters, Beaumont, Texas; sisters, Mrs. Asa Miller,
Leesville, Mrs. Paul White, Sour Lake, Texas, Mrs. Ed Russell,
DeRidder, Mrs. Emil Paijean, Galveston, Texas; brother, Willie
Aldredge, Shreveport; four grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
