Peterson, 87, of Many, died at 1 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Bertha Maxey of Lafayette, Mrs. Lola Jordan of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mrs. Marie Forbes of Wilson, N. C., Mrs. Willis Dean Hartnett of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Odeal Rascoe of Natchitoches; three sons, Carl Peterson of Denison, Tex., Joseph P. Peterson of Nederland, Tex, and Hanson Peterson of Westlake; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Firesheets of Florien; two brothers, Obie Teasley of Holapaw, Fla., and Ernest Teasley of Calif.; 29 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, Thursday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m., with the Bishop Glen Hardy officiating. Burial followed in the Fort Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
