Peterson 17 Apr 1942 - Last rites for Mrs. W. F. Peterson, age 83 years, were held last Friday at 3 p.m. at the Zwolle Baptist church, Rev. Joe Flanakin, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. J. P. Fortenberry of Fisher and Rev. Al Brown of Zwolle. Interment was in Zwolle cemetery, Dennis-Green funeral home in charge. Surviving are five sons, D. F., H. J., of Zwolle, M. A. and W. F., Jr., of Many and John L., Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs. W. M. Muse, Fisher, and Mrs. H. E. Ferguson, Shreveport; seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J. D. McClemy, Tenaha, Texas, and Mrs. Julia E. Russ, Wilmington, N. C.; two brothers, Johnie Corbett, Wilmington, N. C., and William Corbett, Turkey, N. C., and many friends. Pallbearers were four grandsons and others, K. C. Peterson, David Peterson, Hilmer Muse, Harry Ferguson, Jr., J. L. McDonald, little David Peterson and James Halbert. Mrs. Peterson passed away Thursday evening at 2:25 after a brief illness, Mrs. Peterson had many friends who loved and respected her for her courage and Christian-life service she always manifested.
