Peterson, Sr. Mr. Carl Benjamin Peterson, Sr., 72, of Bells, Texas, died Friday, February 17, 1984, in Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 21, 1984, at 10 a.m., in the Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville, Texas. Services were conducted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment followed in the Hallettsville City Cemetery. Carl was born in Fisher, La., and grew up in Sabine Parish. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Peterson of Many. He is survived by his wife, Mae Tolleson Peterson; two sons, Carl Jr. of Odessa, Texas, Jerry Don of Shreveport; three daughters, Bonita Petty of Orem, Utah, Janet Peterson of Houston, Texas, and Wanda Teal of Bells, Texas; five sisters, Bertha Maxey of Natchitoches, Lola Jordan of Salt Lake City, Utah, Marie Forbes of Wilson, N. C., Dean Hortnell of Lake Charles, and Odeal Rascoe of Pawhattan; two brothers, J. P. of Beaumont, Texas, and Hanson of Lake Charles; and eight grandchildren.
