Mrs. Betty Gandy Peterson

  Mrs. Betty Gandy Peterson, 91, of Negreet, died in her residence
at 9:10 a.m., Dec. 23, 1985. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Dave Peterson.

  Services were held at Oak Hill Baptist Church on Dec. 24, at
3:30 p.m. Bro. Elsie Walker officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were her grandsons, Ronnie Walters, Dean Walters,
Billy Joe Peterson, Ben D. Peterson, Douglas Rountree, Roy
Jackson, Leman McNeely, and Reginal Gandy. Honorary pallbearers
included her great grandsons, Ronnie Walters, Jr., Dean Walters,
Jr., Dannon Luke Peterson, Stephen Dave Peterson, Ty McNeely, Tad
McNeely, Cassell Dayton Lebr, James Cliffton Loy, and Fredrick
Loy.

  She is survived by three sons, S. D. Peterson, Floyd Peterson,
and Garland Peterson, all of Many; four daughters, Mrs. Lena
Alford of Many, Mrs. Ethel Walters of Coushatta, Mrs. Pat Jackson
of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Winnie Sliman of Natchitoches; two
brothers, J. R. Gandy of Shreveport, Robert R. Gandy of Houston,
Tex.; two sisters, Carrie Hammrick of Shreveport, and Geraldine
LaBauve of New Iberia; 18 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren;
and 2 great-great grandchildren.
