  Mr. S. D. Peterson, 76, died at Heritage Manor #1, Many, La., on
October 18, 1987.

  Services were held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, on Oct. 20, 1987,
at 2 p.m., with the Revs. Huey Tarpley, Earl Marr, and Terry
Beals officiating. Burial was at Ebenezer Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his wife, Dollie Peterson of Florien; two sons
and daughters-in-law, Ben D. and Sue Peterson of Florien, and
Billy Joe and Barbara Peterson of Dallas, Tex.; three daughters
and sons-in-law, Ann and Jerry Salter of Belmont, Connie and John
Sandel of Florien, Rebecca and Wayne Lehr of Zwolle; one brother,
Garland Peterson of Many; four sisters, Lena Alford of Many,
Ethel Walters of Coushatta, Pat Jackson of Dallas, Tex., and
Winnie Sliman of Natchitoches; 14 grandchildren, Stacey,
Jennifer, Stephen, Dannon, Shaunda, and Tonya Peterson, Valerie,
Natalie, and Nanette Salter, Amy, Jane, and Katie Sanel, Cassell,
and Crystal Lehr; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

  Pallbearers included sons-in-law, Jerry Salter, John Sandel, and
Wayne Lehr; grandsons, Stephen Peterson, Dannon Peterson, and
Cassell Lehr; and nephews, Ronnie Walters, and Dean Walters.
