The Sabine Index - Ola Powell

  July 12, 1973

  Ola Gibb Powell, 76, of Florien died Tuesday, July 3, in Many
hospital.

  Funeral services were held Friday, July 6 at 2 p.m. in the First
Baptist Church of Hornbeck with the Rev. Bobby McCullough and the
Rev. T. J. Crosby officiating. Burial was in the Florien
Cemetery.

  Survivors include two sons, Robert Powell of Houston, Tex. and
Dale Powell of Spring, Tex.; three daughters Mrs. Lottie Jenrette
of Florien, and Mrs. Allie M. Spruill and Mrs. Iris Boswell both
of New Port News, Va.; two brothers, M. G. Gibbs from Newton,
Tex. and L. W. Gibbs of Hornbeck; one sister Mrs. Beatrice Alford
of Many; 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
