Emmett Powell

  Emmett Asa Powell, 81, of Robeline, died Saturday, Nov. 1, in a
Coushatta hospital.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the First
Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill. Burial was in Wallace Cemetery,
under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home,
Natchitoches.

  Survivors are his widow; one son, Emmett A. Powell, Jr. of
Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Hughes of Leesville, and
Mrs. Carolyn Bell of Robeline; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Bullock of
Natchitoches, and Mrs. Verna Leach of Coushatta; three brothers,
Walter Powell of Florien, Floyd Powell, and Allison Powell, both
of Coushatta; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
