  Services for Mrs. Erma Middleton Powell, 79, of Shreveport, were
held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 1, 1987, at the First Baptist
Church in Pleasant Hill, La. burial was at Pleasant Hill
Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of
Mansfield.

  Mrs. Powell died suddenly Tuesday, December 30, 1986, in
Shreveport. She was born in Pleasant Hill, La., and had lived in
the Shreveport area for the past ten years.

  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Graves of
Gulfport, Miss., Mrs. Flo Greer of Converse, and Mrs. Kay Hough
of Shreveport; one son, Benny Powell of Pleasant Hill; ten
grandchildren; and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.
Sallie Winn of Marthaville, and Mrs. Audie Gowan of Shreveport;
and a host of nieces and nephews.
