Pamela Mitchell Powell

  Funeral services for Mrs. Pamela Mitchell Powell, 36, of Many,
were held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 14, 1997, at Trinity Baptist
Church.

  The Revs. Junior Mitchell, and Glen Flenniken officiated. Burial
was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Powell died Wednesday, March 12, 1997, at LSU Medical
Center, Shreveport.

  She is survived by one son, Waylon Powell of Provencal; one
daughter, Marla Doolittle (husband Charles) of Provencal; her
parents, Ray and Dorothy Mitchell of Many; one sister, Regina
Clark; five brothers, Randy Mitchell (wife Kathy), Gary Mitchell
(wife Wendy), Melvin Mitchell (wife Linda), Michael Mitchell
(wife Ida) and Shane Mitchell (wife Sandra) all of Many; paternal
grandparents, Joe and Arbie Mitchell of Marthaville; the joy of
her life, Shadow; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close
friends.

  She is preceded in death by a niece, Kassie Mitchell, and
maternal grandparents, Arthur and Emma Bolton.

  Pallbearers were Wayne Colston, Darrell Brian, Bo Brian, Billy
Wayne Broadway, Venice Mitchell, and Alton Goodman.
