James A. Powell

  Funeral services for James Alfred Powell, 76, of Florien, were
held Monday, July 29, in the Baptist Church in Hornbeck, with the
Rev. Ernest Lord officiating.

  Burial was in the Prewitt Chapel Cemetery, under the direction
of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.

  He died Friday, July 26.

  Survivors are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Margie Poarch of
Hornbeck; three sons, James Richard Powell, and Harley Powell,
both of Hornbeck, and Lynn Powell of West Lake; one sister, Mrs.
Kalla Beasley of Pineville; 16 grandchildren; and five great
grandchildren.
