Mrs. Betty Powell

  Mrs. Betty Powell, 40, of San Antonio, Tex., died Saturday, Aug.
19, at 12 a.m., after an extended illness.

  She is survived by her husband, Herbert Powell of San Antonio;
three sons, Michael, Jimmy, and Gary Powell, all of San Antonio;
one daughter, Adena Gay Powell of San Antonio; parents, Mr. and
Mrs. O. M. Anderson of Florien; two brothers, Glen Anderson of
Florien, and Shelton Anderson of Houston; two sisters, Mrs.
Shanna Jacobs of Lafayette, and Mrs. Nelda Ebarb of Kinder.

  Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m., in the
Florien Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mack Brister, and the Rev.
John Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Florien Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Alvin Warmack, Joe Anderson, Quinton Corley,
Dale Skinner, Joe Don Powell, and Wilmer Powell.
