Powell Funeral services were held Monday, at 2:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill, for B. F. Powell, who died Thursday in Many, after a brief illness. Mr. Powell was a prominent merchant in Pleasant Hill. The Rev. Cecil Salley officiated, and burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Survivors are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. B. Graves of Bridgefield, N. J., Mrs. Jimmie Greer of Alexandria, and Miss Kay Powell of Pleasant Hill; one son, Benny Powell of Pleasant Hill; three sisters, Mrs. Faye Cook of Many, Mrs. Irma Bullock of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Verna Leathe of Coushatta; four brothers, Emmett, and Allison Powell of Natchitoches, Floyd Powell of Coushatta, and Walter Powell of Florien; and four grandchildren.
