Phillips 3 May 1957 - Funeral rites for Lonnie L. Phillips, age 51 years will be held Saturday, May 4 at the First Baptist church at 10 o'clock, Rev. W. H. Rose, pastor officiating. Interment will be in the Many cemetery under the direction of the Warren funeral home. Lonnie passed away Tuesday morning in a Denver, Colo. hospital after a long illness. The body will arrive in Many Friday evening. He was a navy veteran of World War II. He was a former employee by the Sabine State Bank and Trust Co. of Many, also worked in banks in Shreveport and Bastrop. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Phillips of Denver, Co.; mother Mrs. W. M. Phillips and brother Sheriff T. M. Phillips of Many, two aunts, Mrs. W. R. Law of Marthaville and Mrs. O. E. Williams of Many, a nephew, Tom Fore Phillips of Baton Rouge.
