W. William, J. W. Matthews and W. V. Niell officiating. Burial was in the Many cemetery under the direction of the Warren Funeral home. Survivors include; son, Sheriff T. M. Phillips; sister, Mrs. O. E. Williams of Many, grandson, Tom Fore Phillips of Baton Rouge and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were C. C. Wright, Judge Wm. H. Ponder, Judge Edwin M. Fraser, O. A. Horn, J. R. Boone and Glen Phares. Mrs. Phillips was the widow of the late W. M. Phillips had resided in Many since 1897, she was a charter member of the First Baptist church of Many.
