All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Winnie Phillips Funeral services for Mrs. Winnie Phillips, 84, of Center, Texas, were held Saturday, April 1, at 1 p.m., at the St. Therese Catholic Church of Center, with Father Luke Kalarickal officiating. Interment followed at St. John's Cemetery in Many, at 3:30 p.m., under the direction of Watson and Sons Funeral Home of Center, Texas. Mrs. Phillips, who was born in Many on July 7, 1915, died on March 29, in Memorial Hospital in Center. She was a resident of Center for 14 years, and had previously lived in Shepherd. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Libby and Harden Jones of Center, Texas, and Georgia and Frankie Snider of Houston, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Glenn and Johnnie Phillips of Hemphill, Texas, and Willie Phillips of Beaumont; three sisters, Josie Barber of Houston, Blanche Nequint of Port Arthur, and Lucille Brumley of Alto; a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
