Ernest Phillips

  Ernest Phillips, 84?, of Many, died in San Augustine, Texas,
Dec. 6, at 8:10 p.m., after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m., in
Warren Meadows Chapel, with the Rev. Brent Fleming officiating.
Interment was in Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include five sons, A. D. Harvey, and Bell Phillips,
Vidor, Texas; Thomas Phillips, Lumberton, Tex., and Carvey
Phillips of Many; two sisters, Vera Chance, San Augustine, Tex.,
and Betty Hennigan, Beaumont, Tex. He leaves a step-daughter,
Dorothy Loper, Beaumont, Tex.; a stepson, Ivy Morris of Milam,
Tex., and 25 grandchildren.
