Thelma R. Phelps

  Services for Mrs. Thelma R. Phelps, 77, of Pleasant Hill, were
held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 13, at the First Baptist Church
of Pleasant Hill. Dr. Adrian Pater officiated. Burial was in
Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Plans were under the direction of Drewett
Funeral Home in Mansfield.

  She died Friday night, Dec. 10, 1982, in Shreveport, after a
lengthy illness.

  She is survived by her husband, Enoch S. Phelps of Pleasant
Hill; two sons, David Phelps of Kountze, Tex., Douglas Phelps of
Fort Gordon, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Ivy Malaer of Shreveport,
and Mrs. Leona Mann of Arlington, Tex.; three brothers, Charles
Smith of Lake Charles, Kirby Smith of Kinder, and Donald Smith of
Pasadena, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Smith of DeQuincy, and
Mrs. Irene Gotchell of Baton Rouge; 23 grandchildren; 20 great
grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
