Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker, and resided in Zwolle. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zwolle, with interment following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Monsignor Earl Provenza, pastor of Christ the King Catholic Church in Bossier City, officiated, and Father David Richter, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, assisted. Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Phillips of Zwolle; three daughters, Barbara Remedes and husband Raymond, Sue Lovitt and husband Mark, and Debbie Britt and husband Charles, all of Zwolle; four sisters, Joanne Warren of Franklinton, Johnnie Bell Remedies of Zwolle, Carolyn Stockton of Summit, Miss., and Peggy Mobley of Stonewall; six brothers, Wilbert Maxey, Herman Sepeda, Edward Sepeda, Danny Wilburn, all of Shreveport, Billy W. Sepeda of Zwolle, and Jack Sepeda of Denham Springs; four grandchildren, Tina Y. Malmay, Staci L. Remedes and Brandi L. Maxey, all of Zwolle, and Tammy A. Gatheright of Magnolia, Ark.; great grandchildren, Misty L. Remedes, Kyle A. Remedes, Brennan Chanse Malmay, Larisa McLane Malmay, and Shaylea MaKall Brandon, all of Zwolle; a very special family member, Ronnie L. Sepulvado of Zwolle; two stepsons, Jimmie H. Phillips of Saraland, Ala., and Douglas G. Phillips of Keithville; one stepdaughter, Thelma F. Anthony of Florien; numerous step grandchildren; and step great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Maxey, and Lela Wilburn; one daughter, Linda Gatheright; two sons, Johnny Ray Gatheright, and Roger Dale Gatheright; and one sister, Ruby Remedis.
