Luther O. Phillips

  Luther Orville Phillips, 68, of Gloster, died suddenly in Many,
Aug. 15.

  Funeral services were at 3 p.m., Aug. 17, in the Drewett
Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Willis Greer officiating, assisted
by the Rev. J. C. Salley. Burial was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery
near Pleasant Hill.

  Survivors include his widow; one son, Hugh L. Phillips of
Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. W. C. Grice of Lake Charles,
Mrs. Thomas George, Mrs. Cynthia Tilley, and Mrs. Jack Shoalmire,
all of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Viola E. Phillips of Pleasant
Hill; two brothers, Victor Phillips of Shreveport, and Homer
Phillips of Pleasant Hill; and one sister, Mrs. W. E. Reynolds of
Pleasant Hill.
