D. J. Phillips

  Funeral services were held August 8, for D. J. Phillips, 77, who
died in Zwolle, after a long illness.

  The services were held in the Mitchell Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Joe Hext officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery, with
Warren Meadows Funeral Home in charge.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. D. J. Phillips of Anacoco; three
sons, Woodrow, and D. E. Phillips, both of Anacoco, Huey P.
Phillips of Houston; three daughters, Gladys Dixon of Hornbeck,
Lillie Mae Carr of Anacoco, and Ruby Lee Ross of Alexandria;
brother, William Phillips of Anacoco; sister, Melissa Reeves of
Lubbock, Texas; 27 grandchildren.
