Phillips, 51, who died Tuesday, April 30, at Denver Colo., was conducted at the First Baptist Church, Many, at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 4, with Rev. W. H. Rose officiating, assisted by Rev. John B. Koelemay. Interment was in Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Phillips of Denver; mother, Mrs. W. M. Phillips and brother, Sheriff T. M. Phillips, both of Many; two aunts, Mrs. W. R. Law of Marthaville, Mrs. O. E. Williams of Many; a nephew, Tom Fore Phillips of Baton Rouge. Pallbearers were Judge Edwin M. Fraser, Judge Wm. H. Ponder, O. A. Horn, Joe Smith, Van Vines, and Glen Phares.
