Polke, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, in Natchitoches, after a short illness. Services were held Friday, Dec. 10, at Bellwood Baptist Church, with the Rev. E. E. Dees, Monroe Roberts, and Lee Perkins officiating. Burial was in the Bellwood Cemetery, under direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. R. L. Polke of Provencal; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Clark of Robeline, and Mrs. Ira Norsworthy of Bellwood; one son, Robert E. Polke of Provencal; one brother, Earl Polke of Hemphill, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Wagley of Provencal, Mrs. Ira Foshee of Robeline, and Mrs. Katie Canady of Florien; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers were L. B. Kile, Johnny Cox, Ray Polke, Deryl Kile, Lonnie Wagley, and Royce Norsworthy.
