James Foster officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Plaisance, 69, died at 2:50 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, 1984, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital. He was a native of Robeline, and a retired contractor, heavy equipment operator, and cattleman. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ora Belle Plaisance of Marthaville; six sons, Wayne Plaisance, James R. Plaisance, Doyle Plaisance, and Bruce Plaisance, all of Marthaville, and Donnie Plaisance of Denham Springs, Jimmy Plaisance of Florien; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Tanton, Lafayette, Mrs. Glenda Beason, Mrs. Betty J. Knippers, and Mrs. Dorothy Anderson, all of Florien; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Sanches of Robeline, and Mrs. Victoria Rodriguez of Port Arthur, Texas; two brothers, Otho Plaisance, and Orel Plaisance, both of Robeline; and 25 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Stan Allen, Jerry Miller, Arthur Lambert, Randy Hall, Delbert Moore, Clarence Taylor, and Warren Woodel.
