James Plaisance

  Services for Mr. James Plaisance, 69, of Marthaville, La., were
Monday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m., in St. Ann Catholic Church near
Robeline, La. The Rev. James Foster officiated. Burial was in the
St. Ann Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis
Funeral Home of Natchitoches.

  Mr. Plaisance, a native of Robeline, died at 2:50 a.m., Feb. 19,
1984, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator, contractor, and
cattleman.

  He is survived by his wife, Ora Belle Plaisance of Marthaville;
five sons, Wayne Plaisance, James R. Plaisance, Doyle Plaisance,
and Bruce Plaisance, all of Marthaville, and Donnie Plaisance of
Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Sanches of Robeline,
and Mrs. Victoria Rodriguez of Port Arthur, Texas; two brothers,
Otho Plaisance, and Orel Plaisance, both of Robeline; and eight
grandchildren.
