The Rev. James Foster officiated. Burial was in the St. Ann Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Mr. Plaisance, a native of Robeline, died at 2:50 a.m., Feb. 19, 1984, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital, following a brief illness. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, contractor, and cattleman. He is survived by his wife, Ora Belle Plaisance of Marthaville; five sons, Wayne Plaisance, James R. Plaisance, Doyle Plaisance, and Bruce Plaisance, all of Marthaville, and Donnie Plaisance of Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Sanches of Robeline, and Mrs. Victoria Rodriguez of Port Arthur, Texas; two brothers, Otho Plaisance, and Orel Plaisance, both of Robeline; and eight grandchildren.
