Pilcher, 80, of Many, died at his residence at 5:20 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 18, following a sudden illness. Survivors include his widow, Margaret Pilcher of Many; three sons, Malcolm Pilcher of Longview, Tex., Preston Pilcher of Many, and Marquette Pilcher of Vidor, Tex.; two daughters, Marie Smith, and Doris Pruitt of Many; one brother, Vester Pilcher of Tenaha, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Olla Lampkin of Nacogdoches, Mrs. Iver Ayers of Shreveport, and Mrs. Margaret Dought of Lake Charles; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Mr. Pilcher, a member of the Pendleton Assembly of God, was a charter member of the church. Services were conducted by the Rev. C. E. Bell at the church at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 20. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
