David Guillot, and the Rev. Kevin Paul officiating. Burial followed in the Longview Cemetery in Deville, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville. Pallbearers were Jake Clanton, Quentin Smith, Josh Craig, Wesley Manning, Matthew Champagne, Adam Beauboeuf, Mark Carey, and Darren Floyd. Mr. Pilcher died Wednesday night, Feb. 26, in an automobile accident in the Morgan City area. He was a 2000 graduate of Buckeye High School, where he was very active in the football program. Among his many accomplishments were First Team All District for both his junior and senior years, Second Team, All Cenla for his junior and senior years, and All State, Honorable Mention for his junior year, and Second Team, All State in his senior year. He earned the Best Lineman Award in his junior year, and was honored in the Gridiron Greats. He also received recognition in Who's Who Among American High School Students. After graduation, "Pilch", as he was known by many, attended Louisiana College, where he continued his football career for two years. He was currently employed as a roustabout by TransOcean Offshore. Justin is survived by his wife of 53 days, Melanie Miller Pilcher of Deville; his parents, Jimmy and Glenda Pilcher of Libuse; paternal grandparents, Ted and Syble Pantalion of Fisher; maternal grandparents, Alford and Josephine White of Many; one sister, Gwen (David) Lachney of Marksville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Catherine Miller of Buckeye; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chris and Tonya Miller of Buckeye, April Miller of Buckeye, and Scott Miller of Lockhart, Texas; and two nephews, Dave Paul, and Logan Wade Lachney of Marksville.
