James Leroy Palmer

  James Leroy Palmer Sr., 83, of Many, died Wednesday, Aug. 24,
after a long illness.

  Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, in the
Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Willie Thrash officiating.
Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery, with grave rite ceremonies
conducted by Golden Rule Lodge No. 74, led by Senior Warden
Truman Hightower, Acting Worshipful Master.

  Mr. Palmer was united with the St. Peter Baptist Church, where
he was ordained as a Deacon, and then he was united with the
Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Sunday School
Superintendent, and Treasurer.
