Evvie S. Palmer

  Graveside services were held for Mrs. Evvie S. Palmer, formerly
of Shreveport, on Sunday, March 5, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Smith
conducting the service. Burial was in the Fort Jesup Cemetery,
under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Palmer died on Dothan, Ala., on Wednesday, March 1, at
11:45 p.m., following an extended illness. A native of Louisiana,
Mrs. Palmer had taught school in Vernon and Sabine Parishes.

  Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. James P. Morris of Dothan,
Ala., and a number of nieces and nephews.
