Palmer, 100, died Thursday, June 19, at IHS Nursing Home #2 in Many. Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, at 1 p.m., at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Many. The Rev. Clois Rodgers officiated. Burial followed in the New Jerusalem Cemetery, with Thomas Mortuary in charge. Mrs. Palmer was a quiet Christian, who tended to her own business, and did what she could for others. She leaves to rejoice her homegoing, one daughter, Mrs. Aline Sibley and her husband Mr. Oliver Sibley of Many; one granddaughter, Mrs. Mary O. Sibley Webb and her husband Mr. Clarence Webb Jr. of Riverside, Calif.; two grandsons, the Rev. Rupert Sibley and his wife Janice Sibley of Ruston, and Chester Sibley and his wife Kathy Sibley of Houston, Tex.; five great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Ivory Pierce, and Eula Pierce of Natchitoches.
