Moses Palmer, 72, died on Jan. 29, 2002, in Converse, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Converse on Nov. 25, 1929, to the late Horace G. Moses Sr., and Ivis Dans Moses. She was a homemaker, and a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. She worked many years for Pacific Tip Co. in California, where she and her family resided. She returned to Louisiana in 1982, to care for her parents. While she was doing that, she also worked for Thornton Brothers, and Maroski and Co., for 12 years. She married Travis L. Palmer of Shreveport, on Oct. 23, 1952. The couple resided in Shreveport for many years. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Travis L. Palmer; two sons, Travis L. Palmer Jr. and wife Deena of Converse, and Robert Stephen Palmer of Fort Supply, Oklahoma; and one daughter, Susan D. Lee of Converse. She is also survived by one brother, Horace G. Moses Jr. and wife Joni of Shreveport; one sister, Lois D. Henderson and husband Nash of Victoria, Texas; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six nieces; one nephew; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Mildred A. Moses Mills. Graveside services were held on Feb. 1, at 2 p.m., at Converse Cemetery. The Rev.
