Killed almost instantly was Bobby Palmer of Belmont, the three Negro men, Eugene Mosley, driver of the car, Lonell Thomas of Pelican, and Willie Lovick of Marthaville. Critically injured were Wilfred C. Greer Jr., white, of Marthaville, and Charlie Moore of Pleasant Hill, Negro. Less seriously injured were Jerry Greer, brother of W. C. Greer Jr., and Elnora Mosley, sister of Eunice Mosley. They were all rushed to the Confederate Memorial Hospital in Shreveport, where they are being treated. The Greer youths and Bobby Palmer were en route home from a ball tournament, when the Negro car attempted to pass another pickup truck near the top of the hill, and collided head-on with the youths. Witnesses to the accident, the occupants of the second pickup, Wilton Barron, and Clyde Chism, said the collision occurred about ten feet from them, and the crash had such force that battery acid and motor oil splashed on the vehicle in which they were riding. Jessie Greer was operated on Sunday. Funeral services for Palmer will be held this afternoon in Belmont.
